Karen S. Lovitch

Karen is the Chair of Mintz’s national Health Law Practice and Health Care Enforcement Defense Practice, and she is a member of the firm’s executive committee. Karen represents health care companies subject to state and federal investigations arising under various health care fraud and abuse laws, including the federal False Claims Act and the Anti-Kickback Statute, and she serves as regulatory counsel in mergers and acquisitions, with a particular focus on representing private equity firms in their investments in health care industry transactions. Karen has special expertise in regulatory, transactional, and operational issues affecting laboratories and diagnostic companies.
