Juan José Paullada joined the firm in 2017 and has been a partner since 2022.
As public law controversy and litigation specialist, he represents multinationals in the energy, real estate, private equity, banking, and financial sectors in tax, administrative, and constitutional litigation, and leads their defense in audits, administrative inspections and proceedings before tax authorities, regulators and the Taxpayer Defense Attorney's Office. He assists in cross-border audits and disputes involving complex international tax matters and regularly litigates before federal courts, including the Supreme Court of Justice, where he has argued constitutional challenges of precedential significance.
He also advises on investment arbitration in treaty-based disputes arising from tax and regulatory measures. His litigation practice is grounded in a sophisticated tax advisory background, which allows him to anticipate and manage risk before it becomes contentious.
Juan José gained international experience as a foreign associate in international firms based out of New York and Houston.
