Jean Paul Farah joined Ritch Mueller in 1994 and became a partner in 2003. He has represented leading international banks and export credit agencies in financings and restructurings for numerous private and public sector entities in the energy, telecommunications, consumer and housing sectors, among others. His M&A practice involves representing private equity firms in their equity and mezzanine investments in Mexico.
He has participated in several restructuring projects involving Grupo Desc, Grupo Savia, Grupo México, Gruma and Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua, as well as structured financing for Citibank and HSBC, highlighted by transactions involving Infonavit as a means for structuring clearing credits, and Citigroup for the Latin America private equity fund.
He graduated from the Universidad Panamericana School of Law (1993) and obtained a Master in Laws in Securities and Banking Law at Columbia University (1997). In 1998 he worked as a foreing associate in Sherman & Stearling in New York, and in 1997 in Uria Mendez, in Madrid.
