Federico Santacruz joined Ritch Mueller in 1993 and has been a partner since 2001. He has over 20 years of experience representing sponsors, lenders, offtakers, funds and other investors in numerous renewable power projects, including hydroelectric, wind and solar plants as well as in non-renewable projects, including IPPs with the Mexican CFE. He has and continues representing contractors, financing and leasing entities in connection with services and equipment contracts (jack-ups, vessels, platforms and helicopters) servicing Pemex. His advice has involved a wide array of structures, considering the different stage of development of the projects, availability of funds and client’s needs, including traditional bank lending, project financing, leasing, quasi-equity structures, M&A and debt capital markets financing. Federico also has vast experience representing lessors and lenders of commercial and non-commercial aircraft, including helicopters, engines and other aircraft equipment.
He graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de México (1993), and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Columbia University (1996).
