Juan Carlos has more than 20 years of experience advising local and foreign companies from all sectors on merger and acquisitions, major financial transactions, complex securities issues, acquisition of real-estate and infrastructure projects, purchase, sale and separation of assets and corporate reorganizations. His experience allows him to strategically structure operations considering key components sectors such as energy, mining, real estate, technology, telecom, lifesciences, among others. He participated in the largest M&A deals in the last years in Peru.

Juan Carlos is professor of the Mergers and Acquisitions Law Course of Graduate Studies at the ESAN University since 2014.

Formerly, Juan Carlos worked at Swidler & Berlin, a Washington, D.C. based law firm, which merged with New York City's Shereff, Friedman, Hoffman & Goodman LLP, to become Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman LLP. He was in charge of foreign investment matters of Latin America.
