Jesús Abanto

Jesús Abanto is a lawyer in the Energy, Gas & Oil area of CMS Grau and has more than 15 years of experience in legal advice on Oil & Gas matters. He has advised both State entities that regulate the hydrocarbons industry, as well as companies that carry out hydrocarbon activities in all its phases. He has extensive experience in the regulation of public utilities, administrative sanctioning procedures, administrative litigation, Public-Private Partnerships, legal advice on the regulation of the sector, corporate issues and project finance.

His knowledge of the industry is not limited to the legal field, since his experience coordinating with professionals from other disciplines has allowed him to incorporate technical and economic knowledge of the sector, which facilitates his understanding of his clients' needs.

For seven years he provided advice to the Energy and Mining Investment Supervisory Agency (OSINERGMIN). He participated in the supervision and oversight of companies in the Natural Gas industry, as well as in the development of regulations applicable to the industry. He has also been a professor of the OSINERGMIN university extension course and in several events related to his specialty.
