John Lenz is a Montreal-based associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon. His practice focuses on regulatory compliance and commercial matters in the communications and technology industries.

John helps telecommunications clients navigate the Canadian regulatory framework applicable to wireline, wireless and satellite telecommunications service providers, including licensing matters, ongoing filings and compliance with equipment certification, spectrum licensing, and accessibility requirements. He also advises on the telecommunications aspects of complex corporate and commercial transactions. On broadcasting matters, he advises traditional broadcasters and a variety of streaming service providers on licensing obligations and commercial arrangements, as well as in connection with Canada’s evolving broadcasting regulatory framework.

As part of his privacy data protection practice, John helps clients with a variety of data governance matters, including drafting privacy policies and data protection agreements, reviewing data retention practices, and responding to data subject requests.
