John McCaffrey's practice focuses on complex business litigation and white collar criminal defense. He has tried more than 70 cases and argued numerous appellate matters. He handles white collar crime cases including antitrust, public corruption, RICO, money laundering, securities and banking offenses, cyber-crime, economic espionage and trade secret offenses, healthcare and government contract fraud, tax, and environmental crime. John has handled numerous False Claims Act cases as counsel for the qui tam relator and as defense counsel. He is a former Special Agent of the FBI and prosecutor. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, where he has served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Ohio State Committee.
