Career
David Steele is a nationally recognized Intellectual Property attorney. David’s practice focuses on litigating trademark and Internet law matters in federal court. He has successfully handled hundreds of trademark and Internet matters, including countless federal cybersquatting cases.
Before attending law school, David worked on the design and implementation of high-speed computer networks and Internet engineering. He formerly served as a technical advisor to Interop and a member of its Network Operations Team and its advisory board. As a member of the Boston working group, he worked alongside the United States Government to help create and then transfer the technical coordination of certain aspects of the Internet to ICANN (the organization responsible for coordinating important aspects of the Internet, including the domain name system).
David is an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he has taught both trademark law and Internet law since 2001. He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard and has taught numerous seminars regarding trademark and Internet law.
