Founder and chairperson of Rolim Goulart Cardoso Advogados, he co-ordinates the International Trade and Tax departments of the firm, comprising transactional and litigation matters.

Career

Started his career working for KPMG and then PWC as a tax lawyer. After nine years, became a partner, and shortly set up his own firm with other partners. Professor of Tax Law at FGV and IBDT.

Professional Memberships

Director of the Brazilian IFA (ABDF). Director of the Ibero-American Association of Tax Arbitration. Founding Counselor of the Institute of Fiscal Studies (IEFi) in Brazil. Member of IBA and the British Institute of International and Comparative Law.

Has over a hundred of articles published in Portuguese and English, including two books: "Normas antielisivas tributárias / Tax anti-avoidance rules - a comparative study, 2001"
