Jessica Lam

Jessica's litigation practice focuses on the defence of class actions and other complex claims, related to product liability and consumer protection. She has particular expertise in the life sciences and automotive industry and regularly acts for original equipment manufacturers, as well as leading manufacturers and distributors of automobiles, pharmaceutical medicines, medical devices, and other health and consumer products.

Jessica regularly provides proactive advice to clients on product warnings, recalls and litigation risks, as well as on issues relating to privacy and freedom of information, licensing, indemnification, and consumer warranties.

During her articles, Jessica completed a secondment in the legal department of one of Canada's largest medical devices companies, where she worked on a variety of litigation, regulatory and commercial matters.

Jessica is a member of Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC), the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), The Advocates' Society (currently serving on the Executive Committee of the Class Actions Group), the Defence Research Institute, and the Ontario Bar Association.
