Jean-Philippe is consistently involved in high-stakes, complex cases that often include a public law component. He consistently appears before various tribunals and at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, where he acted as lead counsel on multiple occasions. He has specific expertise in defending clients against class actions, enforcement action as well as in launching judicial reviews, and has an excellent track record across a range of issues, including constitutional law, administrative law, health law and consumer law. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, was named Lawyer of the Year 2023 for Appellate Practice and Lawyer of the Year 2025 for Administrative and Public Law by Best Lawyers and was a winner of the Lexpert Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40 in 2017. He was a recipient of the Benchmark Canada Impact Case of the Year 2020 Award. He obtained his LLM from the University of Cambridge (First Class Honours).
