Jean-Philippe is constantly involved in high-stakes, complex cases that often include a public law component. He consistently appears before various tribunals and at all levels of courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, where he acted as lead counsel on multiple occasions. He has specific expertise in defending clients against class actions as well as in launching judicial reviews and public law class actions, and has an excellent track record across a range of issues, including constitutional law, administrative law, health law and consumer law. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Litigation Counsel of America. He was named Lawyer of the Year 2023 for Appellate Practice, Lawyer of the Year 2025 for Administrative and Public Law and Lawyer of the Year 2026 for Class Actions by Best Lawyers and was a winner of the Lexpert Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40 in 2017. He obtained his LLM from the University of Cambridge (First Class Honours).
