Javier specializes in project finance, energy and infrastructure, restructuring and insolvency, cross-border financing including real estate and asset-based lending. In addition, he heads NHG’s aviation practice, mainly representing financial institutions. Javier's practice in infrastructure, energy and projects all stages of structuring, development and financing projects, where he has advised government agencies, banks, funds and developers across different sectors, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy and natural resources.
Javier worked for a year at Mayer Brown LLP in New York. Javier received his LLM (with honours) from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and a Certificate in Management from the Kellogg School of Management. He graduated from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), attorney at law magna cum laude and has a Diploma in Commercial Law summa cum laude from Universidad Panamericana.

Javier actively participates as a speaker in national and international forums and he is the author of several articles in his fields, including most recently the Latin Lawyer Reference and Chambers and Partners Insolvency Mexico 2021.
