Practice Areas
Lupita has focused her legal practice in the areas of administrative law, infrastructure, energy and project financing. She has advised government entities and private sector companies in the design, structuring and implementation of public works projects, public-private partnerships, operation and maintenance construction of ports, railroads, highways and other structures. She has also directed numerous tenders for the awarding of projects.
Academic and Professional Activities
In the electricity sector, she has advised national and international clients in all types of projects related to the Wholesale Electricity Market, including its successful participation in Long Term Auctions and its accreditation as Market Participants. She has successfully negotiated and implemented contracts related to the financing of generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity projects and has advised national and international clients in the structuring and execution of solar and wind farms, combined cycle plants, Isolated Supply and Local Generation projects, among others.

Ms. Esparza Sánchez is currently a Partner at Ramos, Ripoll & Schuster, where she heads the Infrastructure & Energy practice team. She has 15 years of experience in law practice. Her practice focuses on energy law matters, particularly on regulatory aspects related to the wholesale electricity market, as well as infrastructure projects and public procurement.

Experience
She has advised various national and international companies in the structuring and implementation of power generation projects, both conventional and renewable, as well as investors, suppliers and end consumers in different activities as industry participants.
Her practice and experience also includes infrastructure projects such as port terminals, highways, and railway projects. She has advised state and municipal governments in the design and implementation of tenders, public-private partnerships, concessions, financed public works, among others.
Ms. Esparza is recognized in Chambers & Partners Latin America as an Up and Coming Partner, and in Legal500 as a Next Generation Partner, in the areas of Energy & Natural Resources and Infrastructure Projects.
She has collaborated with several publications including the Energy Practice Guides published annually by Chambers & Partners in 2019 and 2020.
