James O'Shea

A partner in the Fund Formation and Private Equity practice groups, James advises a broad range of international and Canadian clients – from global asset managers to emerging and first-time sponsors – with private fund formation, fundraising, structuring and ongoing management throughout the fund lifecycle. He also advises on co-investments, general partner-led restructurings and carried interest arrangements across the private capital space. James is admitted to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales. He regularly speaks at programs related to private funds presented by the Canadian Venture Capital Association and the American Bar Association Business Law Section.
