James Muthui is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 18 years post qualification experience. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Kenya Branch and is engaged in commercial litigation and arbitration. He is currently handling cases relating to intellectual property litigation, environment, wind energy, land, employment and property related disputes as well as a significant amount of private client work. His ability to quickly turn around urgent matters to achieve favourable results in major commercial disputes is significant. He joined the partnership in 2008 and is a Certified Patent Agent.
Career
James has advised in several high profile property disputes, tax disputes and breach of EPC contracts litigation. He also represents clients in anti-counterfeit, infringement and passing off proceedings. As well as defending clients in employment termination cases.
