Peter Gachuhi is the Deputy Provincial Chancellor of the Anglican Church of Kenya. He is a Fellow of the Chartered institute of Arbitrators Kenya Branch and an experienced litigator and arbitrator with a reputation for “turning tables” on complex litigation cases that he has handled. He is an accredited mediator of the Commercial and Admiralty Division of the High Court of Kenya and has extensive experience in commercial litigation, mediation and arbitration. He also handles cases relating to competition law, insurance, land, .security realisation, construction, environmental and pension schemes disputes.
Successfully defended the members of the Fertilizer Association of Kenya in a claim that they had undertaken monopolistic conduct and price fixing. Successfully obtained a precedent setting decision on Employment Law from the Court of Appeal on redundancy notices. Advised on the first contested take-over of a listed Nairobi Securities Exchange company.
