James M Kennedy

James heads the commercial disputes practice at Freshfields. He advises clients on complex cross-border commercial litigation and civil fraud proceedings and multi-jurisdictional investigations; he also has expertise in public law and judicial review. James' recent litigation/civil fraud experience includes several cases involving multi-jurisdiction proceedings concerning assets worth several billion $US – with cases in the UK, France, Switzerland, Ireland, Russia, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Nigeria and various jurisdictions in the Caribbean. He has also managed internal and regulatory investigations (and spin-off litigation) for clients across a range of sectors, including a number of cross-border corruption/fraud investigations.
