Mr. Davis is a Shareholder of Dentons Durham Jones Pinegar focusing on commercial lending and real estate matters and is the Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Section. Representing lenders and borrowers in all stages of the lending relationship, Mr. Davis specializes in documenting loan transactions, modifying or restructuring existing lending relationships, and navigating troubled loan situations. Mr. Davis negotiates and documents credit agreements, factoring agreements, security documents, loan modifications, participation and intercreditor agreements, and credit opinion letters. He also represents both construction and back-leverage lenders and tax equity investors as local Utah counsel in project finance transactions of utility-level renewable energy projects. In troubled loan situations, Mr. Davis has experience foreclosing on real estate or personal property collateral, prosecuting lender liability and deficiency litigation, and negotiating and documenting loan workout, forbearance, and loan sale and assignment agreements. Mr. Davis represents national and local banks, credit unions, SBA lenders, and non-institutional lenders, as well as individual and business borrowers. In addition, Mr. Davis handles general real estate matters for his clients, including purchase and sale and leasing matters.
