Career
Grace Yoon is a partner in the International Arbitration team at Lee & Ko. Over the past decade, Ms. Yoon has acted as counsel in a number of commercial and construction disputes brought under major institutional rules and concerning a wide range of subject matters. She also assists clients in mediations and other alternative dispute resolution matters, and has been successful in settling a number of cases on terms favorable to her clients.
Since joining Lee & Ko in 2019, Ms. Yoon has taken a leading role in the firm’s major arbitration cases. Clients have found her effective in managing cases, as well as leading advocacy at hearings. She brings a strong drive and initiative to all cases that she takes on, and has developed a reputation for her writing skills.
Most recently, Ms. Yoon was a speaker at the IBA Asia Pacific Arbitration Group event in Seoul (2024), and the 10th Asia-Pacific ADR Virtual Conference, and she moderated Lee & Ko’s breakthrough debate event during the 2022 and 2023 Seoul Arbitration Festival. She has also co-authored a chapter on confidentiality in international IP arbitration for the first, second, and third editions of the GAR Guide to IP Arbitration. In addition, she was also recognized as a “Rising Star” by Legal Times (2021), a “Future Star” by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific (2024), and “Up and Coming” by Chambers Global and Chambers Asia-Pacific (2024). Currently, she serves as a member of the KCAB Next Steering Committee.
In addition to her practice in international arbitration, Ms. Yoon has substantial experience in handling cross-border litigation matters in the Latin American, European, and South East Asian regions, representing both Korean and foreign clients, and has been involved in a number of transactional matters concerning investments into Latin America and Iberia.
