Career

Yong Seok Ahn is a partner in charge of competition law, M&A and general corporate practices at Lee & Ko. Mr. Ahn was a managing partner at Lee & Ko from March 2018 to February 2022. Since joining Lee & Ko in 1989, he has represented many cases involving multinational companies as well as big Korean conglomerates in the field of M&A, general corporate practice and competition law including, cartel, merger filing, abuse of dominance and unfair trade practices before the KFTC and Korean courts. He represented, among others, Cargill, MediaTek, Electrolux, Michelin, AXA, GE Healthcare, Diageo, Elpida, ABB, Broadcom, Samsung, LG, Hanwha, POSCO, Lotte and Korean Air. He was a frequent speaker in regional and global competition law conferences. Mr. Ahn was recognized as a “Senior Statespeople” by Chambers Asia Pacific from 2023 to 2025 in Antitrust and Competition and also recognized as a “Leading Lawyer – Distinguished Practitioner” by Asialaw from 2022 to 2025.
