Glynne is a highly experienced lawyer acting exclusively on education transactions over the last 20 years. He leads a team of 10 lawyers within the firm who focus on education sector work. He has regular and sustained contact with key stakeholders such as UK Government, Office for Students and the Privy Council.
Glynne led on some of the most novel and innovative deals in education over the last 20 years covering public sector mergers and groups' structures, innovative financing, movement of institutions from public to private sector, international branch campuses and offerings, creation of new higher education institutions (including research institutions) and advice to Government and Government funding bodies.
He advises on the full range of corporate, commercial and governance issues many with an international aspect. His work includes acting for universities, colleges and schools (both not-for-profit and for-profit) as well as investors and lenders into education sector institutions. He has acted for the UK Government on various matters. Many of his matters are novel, complex and groundbreaking.
He is a regular speaker at education sector conferences both in the UK and internationally and has been quoted in various national media including the Sunday Times and Washington Post. He has also contributed to education publications such as Education Investor. Some of his talks are on YouTube.
Glynne has inputted into government consultations and been involved in the drafting of parts of Acts of Parliament.
In his spare time Glynne likes to travel and keep fit and spend time with his wife and four children.
