Gloria’s legal practice focuses on consultancy and litigation of intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. She has performed numerous diligences on intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions and has helped global leading companies to achieve strategic goals related to their intangible assets.
She has extensive experience in the enforcement of intellectual property rights, and has held several infringement and unfair competition actions, as well as injunctions, seizure, and destruction operations of counterfeit products in Mexico.
Prior to joining CHEVEZ in 2020, Gloria was a senior associate in the intellectual property practice of a major law firm in Mexico. She also worked at a global firm specialized in intellectual property in New York, after having completed a Master of Laws at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She passed the New York Bar exam and is permitted to practice law in such jurisdiction.
She has provided pro bono services to pro bono organizations and social entrepreneurs in the creation and maintenance of their intellectual property rights. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
