With a strong commitment to client service and an ability to deliver bespoke, strategic solutions, Ghaith has built a robust practice focused on public and private mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and securities and corporate governance matters. He has experience working on both sides of high-profile shareholder activism matters, domestic and cross-border transactional matters, as well as complex governance issues and internal investigations. Ghaith advises acquirers, targets, boards and special committees, hedge funds, private equity funds, financial institutions and Crown corporations. He has a proven track record in handling high-profile shareholder activism matters, including successful proxy contests, board restructurings and strategic engagements that have resulted in leadership changes, enhanced governance and operational improvements. He also has significant experience in capital markets, assisting with IPOs, strategic equity investments and large-scale financing arrangements. Ghaith teaches a master’s course in corporate remedies at Osgoode Hall Law School, emphasizing shareholder activism, public M&A, and take-private transactions. He also co-taught Mergers & Acquisitions as part of Osgoode’s Advanced Business Law Workshop.
