He is an expert in financing transactions, including project finance and infrastructure projects (motorways, subway lines, hospitals, and desalination plants), energy projects (solar thermal plants, photovoltaic plants, biofuel plants, and wind plants) in Spain and other countries; in acquisition finance (LBOs/MBOs); and simple and structured real estate transactions (sale-and-leaseback transactions and project sharing. Mr. Bernad also advises private and public sector clients on designing and implementing debt restructuring and refinancing transactions in sectors such as real estate, construction, leasing and renting, and large-scale retail.

He is a regularly lecturer at business schools and universities.
