He is an expert in financing transactions, including project finance and infrastructure projects (motorways, underground lines, hospitals, and desalination plants), and energy projects (solar thermal plants, photovoltaic plants, biofuel plants, and wind plants) in Spain and other countries; in acquisition finance (leveraged buyouts LBOs and management buyouts MBOs); in simple and structured real estate transactions (sale-and-leaseback transactions and project sharing); and in the refinancing of industrial and real estate groups, and of LBOs and MBOs. He also has ample experience in multijurisdictional securitizations. Mr. Bernad advises private and public sector clients on designing and implementing debt restructuring and refinancing transactions in sectors such as real estate, construction, leasing and renting, and large-scale retail.
