Practice Areas

Eric Requenez is a partner in Ropes & Gray’s asset management group in New York, leads the firm’s real estate funds practice and co-leads the firm’s collective investment trust (CIT) practice. Eric focuses his practice on representing fund sponsors and distributors in connection with the formation, structuring, and capitalization of private funds, including real estate funds, credit funds, infrastructure funds, and private equity funds. In addition, he has extensive experience structuring CITs, particularly those focused on alternative investments, and regularly advises clients on their open-ended real asset and illiquid asset funds.

Eric is widely recognized for his exceptional commercial awareness, which distinguishes his approach to private fund formation and structuring. In addition, Eric counsels clients on the formation of advisory and management entities, team spin-outs, fund restructurings, co-investments, continuation funds, and other ongoing operational matters.
