Emma specializes in pensions law, advising trustees and corporates on a wide range of issues, including liability risk reduction for legacy-defined benefit pension schemes, consolidating pension arrangements, and advising on auto-enrolment requirements.
Emma originally trained as a litigator and retains an interest in disputes. She advises on Pension Ombudsman cases, deals with court applications, including professional negligence claims, and handles representative beneficiary cases. She also deals with Pensions Regulator investigations, drawing on her experience of advising the BHS pension scheme trustees throughout the insolvency and subsequent investigation by the Regulator and Parliamentary select committees.
