Emma has a broad practice encompassing all aspects of commercial litigation, arbitration and advisory work. As well as general commercial disputes, Emma has extensive experience of energy, banking, civil fraud and FSMA claims. Notable cases include: FDIC v Barclays Bank plc & Ors [2025] EWHC 46 (Ch) (large-scale litigation brought by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation against a number of LIBOR panel banks in relation to alleged USD LIBOR misconduct); Various Claimants v G4S plc [2023] EWHC 2863 (Ch) (claims brought by a large number of institutional investors under section 90A of FSMA); Autonomy Corporation Limited v Lynch and Hussain [2022] EWHC 1178 (Ch) (claims for breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and misrepresentation relating to the acquisition of Autonomy by the HP group); Travelport Limited & Ors v Wex [2020] EWHC 2670 (Comm) (expedited preliminary issues trial concerning the proper construction of, and burden of proof in relation to, the definition of a Material Adverse Effect within an SPA).
