Nick’s practice is divided equally between international commercial arbitration and disputes heard in the English courts. Over the years, Nick has acted in some of the largest-scale international commercial disputes, frequently within the energy or financial sectors, and often involving allegations of fraud or other wrongdoing. Nick’s recent work has included acting: for BHP in the Mariana/ Fundao litigation; for Dyson in the Limbu litigation; for investors in a multibillion ICC arbitration vs a State in respect of a power plant; for energy multinational in multibillion deceit claim in Singapore arbitration; for VW group in the VW Emissions litigation; for BP in gas price review; for Deutsche Bank in Bilta litigation.
