Max undertakes a broad range of commercial work. His practice covers litigation and international arbitration. He is often engaged in complex, high value and high-profile disputes. He has appellate experience and has appeared before the Supreme Court and the Privy Council. Recent highlights of Max’s practice include his instructions in TNLC v The Gambling Commission (8-week High Court trial in October/November 2025) and his experience in large group litigation (e.g. in the Fundão Dam litigation where Max acted for a BHP in the first stage trial (October 2024-March 2025), and the RBS Rights Issue Litigation). Other recent highlights include: Virgin v Brightline [2023] EWHC 2240 (Comm) and SKAT v Solo [2023] EWHC 590 (Comm) – both trials in the Commercial Court in 2023.
