Diego’s practice covers all types of real estate transactions, especially those with an international component, advising investment funds, real estate companies, financial institutions and asset-holding companies, developers and construction companies on:

- Investment and divestment in real estate assets (e.g. land, offices, residential, shopping centres and logistics, etc.), including highly complex and/or structured transactions.

- Investment and divestment in all types of financial assets (both performing and non-performing).

- Leases, hotel management and real estate contracting.

- Development and construction at all stages of the cycle, including contracting with construction agents.

- Planning and environmental matters.

In recent years Diego has taken part in some of the most significant transactions in the Spanish real estate market across all asset classes (hotel, residential, office, shopping centres, land, logistics, etc.).

Career

Diego began his career in 2007 at the Clifford Chance Madrid office where he was associate during 6 years within the Real Estate team until his joining to the Legal Department of Sareb in 2013.

From 2013 to April 2017, Diego was in-house legal counsel to Sareb being his latest post Legal Counsel of the Legal Department of Transactions assisting the company in all type of investment and divestment transactions, including structured processes with the vast majority of international real estate funds acting in Spain.
