Alberto’s practice covers all types of financing transactions, especially those with cross-border elements, advising both companies and lenders in transactions involving:

• Corporate and acquisition finance (corporate finance and LBOs).

• Project finance, particularly energy and infrastructure projects.

• Real estate finance, in particular shopping centres, hotels and logistics centres.

• Debt capital markets, incl. medium-term notes (MTNs).

• Fund Finance.

• Asset Finance.

• Asset securitisations.

• OTC derivatives.

In recent years, in addition to advising on lending transactions, Alberto has advised Sareb, financial institutions and institutional investors on debt refinancing and restructuring operations, as well as on distressed investment strategies (e.g., the sale and purchase of NPLs and fresh money facilities in pre-insolvency and insolvency proceedings of the borrowers).

Career

Alberto has been practising Banking & Finance (B&F) for more than 25 years.

Before founding Evergreen Legal in February 2016, Alberto developed his career for over 13 years in the B&F team of Cuatrecasas, after he joined Deloitte Abogados as Director responsible for setting up the B&F practice (2013), and during 2014 and 2015 he was a partner of Hernández -Echevarría (HEYD) as head of its B&F team.
