Diego Chighizola

Diego Chighizola joined Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal in 2001, and became a partner in 2012. He specializes in corporate finance, M&A, agribusiness and real estate.

In recent years, he has been handling complex M&A transactions, including the investment by GE in YPF Energía Eléctrica; in real estate he advised on the investment by Goldman Sachs and Equity International in Pegasus Real Estate,

As to the agribusiness sector, he handled the sale of equipment manufacturer PLA to Deere; and in the energy sector, the acquisition of a controlling stake in TGS by a JV of local and foreign investors.

He has been recognized by Chambers Latin America and other legal publications as a leading specialist in real estate and agribusiness.

Diego also worked as foreign associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, in New York, between 2004 and 2005.

He graduated as a lawyer at the Universidad Católica Argentina (2001, cum laude), holds a Masters in Law from Columbia University School of Law, New York (2004) and a Masters in Finance from Universidad del CEMA (2007). Since 2011, he teaches contracts and business law at the Universidad de San Andrés Law School.

Diego has been admitted to the New York State Bar Association and is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association.
