Denis Ferland

Denis is a partner specializing in financial restructuring, bankruptcy, insolvency and the related litigation as well as commercial litigation. He offers practical and proactive advice to large multinationals, banks and financial institutions, creditors, debtors and court officers (trustees, monitors and receivers). Over his career, he has acted in many of Québec’s most significant restructuring and insolvency matters, helping to pave the way for countless reorganizations and transactions (often with an international component). Denis is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy and insolvency issues and has presided over several insolvency and bankruptcy conferences. He is also a long-time instructor for the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional Qualification Program. Denis is the former President of the Board of Directors of the select Insolvency Institute of Canada and one of the few members of the North America Committee of the exclusive International Insolvency Institute. Member of the Canadian Bar Association, American Bar Association (Bankruptcy Division), Turnaround Management Association and INSOL International.
