Avocat à la Cour and Professor of Law, Christophe Seraglini is a partner in Freshfields’ International Arbitration Group and heads the team in the Paris office.
Christophe has extensive experience as counsel and arbitrator in complex commercial and investment treaty arbitrations under all of the major arbitration rules. He represents private parties, governments and public entities in a wide range of dispute, particularly in the energy, industrials, telecommunications, technology, construction and engineering sectors.
In addition to his arbitration work, Christophe regularly appears before French national courts in setting aside and enforcement proceedings, and other arbitration-related litigation.
As a law professor, Christophe teaches arbitration, private international law and international contract law at the University of Paris-Saclay and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po Paris).
Christophe joined Freshfields in 2019, having previously worked at Betto Seraglini, White & Case, and Lyon-Caen Fabiani Thiriez (French lawyers with exclusive rights of audience before the French Supreme Courts).

Christophe is the author of several influential works, including the leading textbook on arbitration in France, Droit de l'Arbitrage interne et international, co-authored with Jérôme Ortscheidt (LGDJ, 2nd ed., 2019), recipient of the Cercle Montesquieu Award for its first edition (2013).
He has also contributed over 40 chapters, articles, and case notes, including a notable chapter on "Arbitrage international" in the award-winning Traité de droit du commerce international (J. Béguin, M. Menjucq, et al. (eds),LexisNexis, 3rd ed., 2019).
