Hughie is co-head of Walkers' Investment Funds Practice Group.

He works with external counsel, investment managers and funds on setting up and launching investment funds, and their financing. He also specialises in all aspects of fund activity and regulation, as well as fund restructurings and distressed situations.

Hughie has more than 25 years’ experience in private practice, and advises clients on Cayman and British Virgin Islands’ law on hedge, private equity and venture capital funds, including digital assets and crypto-currency funds. He also helps them with their downstream corporate and financing matters, including structured finance, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory issues.
