Cathy Yanni mediates high-profile national lawsuits. Through her extensive knowledge, attention to detail and persistence, she has settled thousands of complex cases.
Known for working closely with parties to design and implement processes that lead to fair and efficient settlements, Cathy has often been chosen by judges, parties and lawyers to serve as a settlement special master in national mass torts cases.
Cathy recently became trustee of the Fire Victim Trust. The $13.5-billion Fire Victim Trust was created as part of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s bankruptcy settlement. In her previous role as claims administrator, she directly oversaw all claims resolutions, including the design and implementation of the claims resolution process.
