Andrew Nadolna is a mediator and arbitrator with experience in a wide range of matters including those in the complex business and commercial, construction, class action and mass tort, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity and privacy, employment, environmental (including PFAS/Forever Chemicals) insurance and reinsurance, international and cross-border, personal injury and torts, and professional liability realms.
He is ranked among the top mediators nationwide by Chambers and Partners in its 2023 – 2026 USA Guides. Chambers’s reviewers praise Mr. Nadolna for “bring[ing] a unique and unmatched level of experience … to insurance coverage claims and litigation” and for being “a tireless and devoted mediator.” They note that “[h]e's very good at keeping his thoughts to himself when necessary and probing different people based on their personalities," and that he’s a “strong, organized mediator who gets on top of a matter and works hard for solutions.” “For me,” stated one reviewer, “he's got intelligence, he's got patience, he's got integrity [and] [h]e has gravitas."
While Mr. Nadolna handles matters across a broad spectrum of civil litigation disputes, he has a particular interest in and especially deep-seated experience in presiding over complex business and commercial, as well as insurance matters.
The hundreds of nationwide two- and multi-party matters he has handled include high-stakes business and commercial disputes across a wide swath of industries. They involve, among others, multifaceted claims for breach of contract and fiduciary duty, tortious interference, conversion, fraud, unjust enrichment, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and negligence, as well as matters dealing with corporate dissolution and corporate governance. The remedies sought by parties in these matters have included claims for damages, as well as for specific performance, rescission and reformation.
As the former Global Head of Casualty Claims at American International Group (AIG) he also enjoys a reputation as an ADR professional skilled in resolving insurance matters. He has mediated and arbitrated cases involving nearly every form of first- and third-party insurance matter including cyber, primary and excess policies (all layers), Commercial General Liability (CGL), professional liability, directors and officers, employment practices liability, kidnap and ransom, trade credit, errors and omissions, Bermuda form, London form, occurrence, claims made, integrated occurrence, fronted and captive insurance, supply chain, commercial property (including business interruption), subrogation, and reinsurance and transactional insurance (representations and warranties).
Mr. Nadolna also has substantial experience handling underlying claims and coverage disputes involving personal injury, invasion of privacy, sexual abuse, and sexual assault (including those involving religious and educational institutions) matters. He has also worked on cases involving cyber, bitcoin, technology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and energy.
He is highly respected for his breadth of knowledge across multiple practice areas and his ability to grasp with ease sophisticated and highly technical aspects of disputes. His open-minded approach to the parties’ objectives allows him to listen to all sides of the dispute, to diffuse roadblocks, and to navigate the parties toward the just and efficient resolution of disputes even in the most intractable of situations.

Andrew is good at identifying the pressure points on both sides and making both sides aware of the importance of resolving a matter.
Andrew exemplifies excellent work, relentlessness and fairness.
Andrew does a lot of homework before mediation stars. He makes up his mind about where he thinks a resolution will lie and slowly coaxes parties in the direction of a resolution.
