Bruce A. Friedman, Esq., is preeminent dispute resolution professional who has mediated and settled a wide range of cases and commercial matters, including insurance, class action, professional liability, entertainment, real estate and business disputes. Mr. Friedman began his neutral career in 2011 following 37 years as a trial lawyer handling complex cases in the areas of law in which he mediates and arbitrates. He was lead trial counsel in dozens of jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations. He routinely represented clients in high-stakes litigation as a former Bingham McCutchen bet-the-company trial lawyer. He was previously recognized by Chambers USA in insurance litigation and noted as a “great strategist,” an attribute critical in settling the multiparty matters that he handles. In 2022, he was included in Chambers USA's Nationwide Mediators list for drawing on his litigation experience to “adeptly mediate complex insurance-related disputes.” He is an editor of The Rutter Group's California Practice Guide on Insurance Litigation and an adjunct professor at the USC Gould School of Law, where he teaches Arbitration Practice. Relatable and honest with an evaluative, collaborative style, he builds trust and pulls from his experience to creatively resolve disputes.
