Robert B. Davidson, Esq., FCIArb is a full-time arbitrator and mediator, and Executive Director of JAMS Arbitration Practice. He has acted as sole arbitrator, chairman or member of a tripartite panel in over 200 domestic and international arbitrations conducted under the rules of various institutions including the Rules of the ICC, the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, the Rules of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute, the LCIA, the CPR Rules, the AAA/ICDR International Rules, the CIETAC Arbitration Rules, the Domestic Arbitration Rules of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, and ad hoc proceedings. Cases arbitrated have involved complex commercial and financial business issues, including contract actions, pharmaceutical licensing disputes, disputes under APA/SPA agreements, construction, insurance and reinsurance claims, oil and gas disputes, securities, tax, real estate, intellectual property, employment disputes, and sports matters.
Throughout his career as a litigation partner at a major international law firm, Mr. Davidson acted as lead counsel for clients in a variety of domestic and international arbitrations, including 11 cases before the Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal. He has been listed as one of the world’s Leading International Arbitrators since 2010 by Chambers.
