Caryl started the Atlanta public finance practice at Hunton & Williams, now Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, as an associate in 1989, becoming a partner in 1991. As of spring 2025, she has transitioned to special counsel within the firm and is less active in client work but remains a key player in the team.
During her tenure, Caryl co-led the Hunton public finance team firm-wide for more than ten years. She has been involved in numerous high profile bond financings, including Atlantic Station, Philips Arena, Mercedes Benz Stadium and Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Caryl has dedicated a significant portion of her career focusing on affordable housing and 501(c)(3) financings, specifically for higher education clients.
