BJay is a partner advising corporations, boards, and senior executives on high-stakes government investigations, enforcement actions, internal investigations, compliance, and complex civil and criminal litigation. He is frequently engaged to lead sensitive investigations for public company boards and special committees, manage existential regulatory enforcement actions, and represent enterprises in litigation involving significant reputational and brand risk. His practice also includes advising on cybersecurity incidents, including ransomware and extortion matters, where he provides strategic guidance on response, regulatory exposure, and crisis management.
BJay is a former Senate-confirmed U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia (2017–2021), where he oversaw all federal criminal prosecutions and civil litigation involving the United States and led more than 100 assistant U.S. attorneys and more than 120 legal professionals. He previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney, prosecuting white-collar matters including securities and health care fraud, AML/KYC and BSA-related offenses, intellectual property crimes, immigration and visa fraud, and export control violations. He served three terms in the Georgia General Assembly, working on criminal justice reform and legislation affecting health care and tax policy.
