Buddy Sanders concentrates his practice on business tax planning, mergers and acquisitions and tax controversy/disputes, including worker misclassification issues. He has vast experience representing clients in the structuring and negotiating through numerous mergers and acquisitions ranging from family business deals to large billion dollar deals, including pre-transaction restructurings relating thereto, to minimize tax costs and maximize the tax benefit. Drawing on years of service at the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel, Buddy also has valuable experience defending clients on various tax dispute matters at all stages of the process, ranging from the start of a tax audit up through tax litigation before the U.S. Tax Court. Recent tax dispute successes focused on worker classification issues.
