Career
Ayesha Waheed is a member of the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure Team and has over 30 years of experience focusing on project and corporate financings in the energy, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. Ayesha has extensive experience in representing developers and lenders in oil and gas, metals and mining, power generation, and infrastructure transactions, including PPP projects, around the globe, with a particular focus on Emerging Markets jurisdictions.
Ayesha is well versed in all aspects of structuring, negotiating, and drafting finance and commercial documents in connection with international project financings and privatizations. Dual qualified in the State of New York and England & Wales, she has advised sponsors/equity investors, multi-lateral and development finance institutions, export credit agencies, institutional investors, and commercial financial institutions in complex financing transactions, often involving multiple sources of financing, for energy and infrastructure developments and acquisitions in the United States, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
