Ari M. Zak focuses his practice on the taxation of investment funds and their investors, in addition to general transactional matters involving clients in the financial services industry. He has deep experience with tax matters relating to various types of regulated fund structures, including interval funds, tender offer funds, listed closed-end funds, business development companies, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds. He also regularly advises on tax matters relating to private investment funds, including private equity, private credit and hedge funds. He routinely advises on tax aspects of structuring regulated funds and other products designed to provide retail and high net worth investors access to alternative asset classes, such as private equity, private credit, infrastructure, secondaries and liquid alternatives.
