Atif Azher is a Corporate Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Palo Alto office, where he has led some of the most successful and market-defining M&A transactions in recent years. He focuses on complex business transactions and corporate governance matters for public companies, private equity firms and their portfolio companies, growth equity investors and VC-backed companies. Atif has extensive experience in a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions of all types, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, sale transactions, dispositions and carve-outs, SPAC and de-SPAC transactions, venture and growth financings, JVs, and PIPE, toe-hold and other direct investments. He also has experience representing public companies in unsolicited transactions and corporate governance matters, as well as representing investment banks in connection with advising on M&A transactions. Atif has led matters in a variety of industries, including technology and technology-enabled services, internet and social media, FinTech, sports, media and entertainment, data centers, pharmaceuticals, health care and healthcare-related services, banking and financial services, insurance, business services, retail and consumer products, and industrials.
