Antonio Matino

Practice Areas

Antonio Matino focuses on banking, structured finance and corporate law. He takes part in financing transactions, as well as structuring financial instruments (including hybrid and innovative capital instruments) aimed at optimizing the regulatory capital of banks and financial intermediaries. Antonio is also regularly involved in structured finance transactions and the securitisation of loans, with particular focus on the disposal of non-performing loan portfolios (also in the broader context of banks’ resolution transactions), as well as in bond issues, mini- bonds and other debt securities (including "EMTN" programmes). Antonio also advises banks and financial intermediaries on regulatory matters related to banking law.

Career

Antonio Matino is a Partner in Legance since 2022.

Prevoiusly, he was Counsel from 2018 to 2019 and then Senior Counsel from 2019 to 2022 in Legance.

In 2017 he obtained a PH.D. in Law at Università degli Studi di Milano, in Milan, and his Ph.D. Dissertation has been awarded by Associazione Gianfranco Campobasso as the best Dissertation in Company and Banking Law.

In 2011 he was admitted to the Milan Bar, Italy.
