Andrew Bratt is a partner in Gowling WLG's Toronto office and the National Practice Group Leader of the Employment, Labour & Equalities practice group.

He advises clients on recruitment, hiring, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, employment standards, workplace policies, disability management, workforce reductions, discipline, terminations, unjust and wrongful dismissal, as well as on labour and employment issues arising out of various types of corporate transactions.

Andrew has also appeared before administrative tribunals, courts, arbitrators and mediators, representing employers in employment-related litigation, human rights proceedings, employment standards claims and workers' compensation proceedings.

Having been seconded to the legal department of one of Canada's largest retailers for six months, Andrew appreciates the dynamic between the business unit and the legal department of a corporation and the importance of acting as a strategic partner to his clients.

Andrew speaks often on a range of employment law topics and has lectured at the faculties of law of Queen's, the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto.

He has also been recognized in the Best Lawyers in Canada™, The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and the Legal 500 Canada.
