Frank Sur

Frank Sur is a partner in Gowling WLG and the head of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in Canada. He is also co-head of the Korea Desk, co-head of the China Practice Group for the Calgary office and a member of the Hydrogen Group, Fintech Group, Cannabis Group and Japan Desk. Frank's practice is focused on M&A, capital markets, fund formation and general corporate commercial matters, with an emphasis in technology (software, blockchain, crypto asset trading platforms, IoT and nanotechnology) and energy (traditional and renewable, including hydrogen, biofuel and solar). He has extensive experience in: M&A of both public and private companies; public offerings, including initial public offerings and private placements; fund formation; listing and exchange compliance matters; corporate governance and general commercial agreements. Frank has represented international clients based in Canada, the US, Korea, China, Japan and the UK in various complex cross-border M&A, strategic partnerships, financings and fund formations. He is a member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and the International Association of Korean Lawyers and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Korea.
