Andrea York

Andrea is the Practice Group Leader of the National Employment & Labour Group at Blakes and Co-Chair of the Firm's Privacy Group. A highly respected advocate with 30 years of experience, she advises employers on a broad range of employment, labour, and employee privacy matters. Andrea is recognized for providing strategic, practical counsel on complex workplace issues and for representing employers in workplace disputes when they arise. Andrea works with clients across a wide range of industries, including banking and financial services, retail, manufacturing, life sciences, technology, and marketing and advertising. She also advises clients on the employment and workforce implications of corporate transactions, restructurings, insolvency proceedings, business transformations, and outsourcing arrangements.
